The Cove is the conclusion of an exploration of the broken linkage between working teams. It bridges two disjointed, but ‘mentally’ connected existing office buildings horizontally. Common functions: a cafe promoting nutrition and well being doubles as meeting space. The design mixes the definition of café-amenity space to include a place to work, meet, lounge, linger, and decompress. The Cove acts as an “interbuilding pivot” that combines function, architecture and nature to create a flexible think space for the two adjacent buildings. Design Principal with KlingStubbins/Jacobs.
